lift arms on a 384 leyland

Post by scotchlok53 » Mon Jun 10, 2019 3:23 pm

I have a 384 Leyland tractor, having problems with the lift arms, they will not go up or down, does anybody know what might be wrong or where I should check?

hi . are the lift arms up if they are they could be locked up by the lift lock its a cap with a flat side you pull it out or up( depending on how look at it) then twist it to keep it held up this will unlock the lift its on top of the hyd unit at the rear of the tractor . if they are down and wont lift depending on the model of 384 the early ones need the hyds to be in gear via the pto selector lever its a 3 position lever and the middle position should engage the hyds if its a later model with the 2 position pto lever the hyds are permanantly live also have you got it in position control or draft you want it in position the lever with the elongated knob (nearest the seat) should operate the lift once position is selected via the lever nearest the wheel . the little square knobed lever is for aux or remote hyds
