Simms pump oil leak

Post by mikek » Thu Jul 11, 2019 10:42 am

Leyland 344

noticed an oil leak, seems to be coming from the main gasket at the front end of the pump/ tractor where the pump connects .

Can this be changed without major expense on setting the pump up again?

Also can someone identify the Simms pump model please?

Many thanks

check how much fluid is in the pump sometimes they will overfill with bypassed diesel and if the drain tube is blocked they overfill ,level( 1/2 in spanner) plug is near the throttle lever shaft and drain plug is underneath (7/16s spanner)refil with clean eng oil

Hi, Is it leaking clean pump oil or dirty engine oil?
